Want to learn more about eating local? Co-op grocers nationwide are launching a campaign this summer to help people do just that. Through Eat Local, America!, co-ops are offering consumers unique, helpful ways to explore the benefits of eating locally sourced foods.

Presented by National Cooperative Grocers Association (NCGA), the initiative invites people to visit their participating food co-op to find great local food options, get event information and join the Eat Local, America! online community.

Eat Local, America! is a great way to engage with food growers and producers and learn about the bounty of foods produced locally. Eat Local, America! participants are asked to set a goal for themselves. Whether it is eating one meal a week made with local foods or trying to source a specific percentage of meals locally, participants can set a goal that fits their lifestyle.
