Goit House Granola & Belly Timber Survival Bars
Bellingham, WA

Bellingham native Mary Goit wanted to balance her family life with something creative that could benefit others. With an art degree and a successful marketing career behind her, she came upon a great idea… granola!

An Old Family Recipe
“This is a family recipe that my mom created 30 years ago when she was a student at Western,” says Mary. Mary's mom, Sally, first created the company's now signature granola back when she attended Western Washington University. Mary and her sister Kim often baked the "family granola" and over the years made few changes: opting to change the wheatgerm to organic flax meal and the corn oil to organic Canola oil.  The recipe is the basis for Goit House Natural Foods Original Stout Granola, and PB&J Granola, which can be found in the Co-op’s Bulk Foods Department.

Belly Timber Bars
For people and families on the go Mary created the Belly Timber Bar. These high energy bars are fresh and locally made using Goit House granola along with bits of dark chocolate, finely ground espresso, or toffee.
