Capay Fruits & Vegetables, founded in 1976 by Kathleen Barsotti and Martin Barnes, is a second-generation organic farm, which got its start in the Coastal Range’s Capay Valley, 90 miles northeast of San Francisco.

Throughout the years, the demand for Capay Fruits & Vegetables’ produce has allowed the farm to grow from its original 20 acres to its current 240 acres.

In 2007, they began farming in the Imperial Valley in an effort to expand their produce line during the cold winter months of the Capay Valley. The new region has allowed their farm to extend the season of the heirloom and traditional crops that they produce while ensuring that they are being produced by a trusted farm. This expansion has allowed them to begin providing service to the Los Angeles area and has expanded the kinds of produce available to all of their customers.
