Recipe Description:

Fresh and easy, this recipe yields about 5 cups of salsa. Reserve 1 cup for
Quick Guacamole and still have enough to serve 8. If you like spicy
salsa, use the full amount of jalapenos and add more cayenne pepper.

Recipe Ingredients:

  1. 4 cups diced tomatoes (5-6 medium)
  2. 3/4 cup finely diced red onion (about 1 small)
  3. 1/4 cup red-wine vinegar
  4. 1-2 jalapenos, seeded and minced
  5. 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  6. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  7. Pinch of cayenne pepper, or more to taste

Recipe Steps:

  1. Combine tomatoes, onion, vinegar, jalapeno, cilantro, salt and cayenne in a medium bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
