You will need: Ham, Swiss cheese, sourdough bread, eggs and butter.
This is the French countryside version of grilled ham and cheese. Make a sandwich on sliced, crusty local sourdough bread, using sliced local ham and your favorite local melting cheese. Beat 2 local eggs in a small bowl, dip the sandwich in the egg mixture (like French toast), and then pan fry on both sides over medium heat in fresh local unsalted butter until golden. The English add a fried egg inside and call it a Croque Madame.
