Our local Farmer Markets are very popular. We are fortunate to have two of them, downtown, each week. The Bloomington Farmer's Market was started in 1976 and continues to this day. Each Tuesday, the Market takes place right next door to Bloomingfoods newest grocery location. I am surprised by how it it is becoming a social event. Here is what Darcy has to say about a recent Tuesday Market:

Here's a photo from the Tuesday Market at 6th and Madison outside our
Near West Side Bloomingfoods store. Organized by the City of
Bloomington Parks and Recreation department, it opened for the first
time last Tuesday, June 3rd, from 4-7 pm. Earlier in the day the sky
was dark and rain was pouring down, as it has been many hours
intermittently since. But the sun came out with dazzling brightness,
just in time for the farmers to set up.
