I am currently the Customer Services Manager at Linden Hills Co-op in Minneapolis, MN. I am so lucky to be around co-workers and customers who are passionate about fresh, local foods and love to cook!
When I was young, growing up in Northern, MN, I had the privledge of watching my family hunt and fish to bring food to our table year round. There was also the picking of berries, rhubarb, and crabapples for cobbler, pie and my Mom's jelly. We'd often visit the farm stand to bring home our other favorites; sweet corn, table onions, cucumbers and beans.
I'm excited to watch my 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter learn about the connection between earth, food, health and community. I'd like to think that they'll soon be having the same starry eyed look at farmers and food producers as I do.
